This week,
the Diva challenged us to use a tangle. *My* tangle. Yes, my very own Hitched that I developed and entered at her site. :)
I was tickled to see that, believe me. And it has been fun peeking in on people's renditions.
Terri Young even used another of my patterns, Concert, in her tile. Soo cool!
Well, this morning first thing, I made a tile using Hitched, and here it is.

Hitched with a little Tropicana thrown in |

I wanted to run with the diamonds and circles, so there's a lot of that in there, connected by lines and strings. The arch of the half hitched, across the top left, reminded me of Tropicana, and of course I put some flux in. Always do!
Now to go check out what people are doing with my tangle!
I'll bet this is just amazing for you HeidiSue. It looks like everyone really enjoyed this challenge. I know I did. Congrats on being chosen :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Heidi Sue. I really liked the back story of how you came up with Hitched----by capitalizing on a mistake. I'm so bad at that. I'm hoping Zentangle will help me with that. Your hitched tile makes me think of sparkling jewels----even without color. It's such a gray day here in Philadelphia (even with snow) that I appreciate the lift.
ReplyDeleteHow neat to do a challenge with your own tangle...and such a fun, versatile one. Thanks for sharing both your tile (I love the dangles) and your tangle with us.
ReplyDeleteGood fun to have one of your tangles chosen! Great tile!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful tile, HeidiSue! I am afraid I did not do your tangle any justice! I promise to keep practising! Thanks for sharing your tangle with us :) Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteWow The Diva and Tanglepatterns in one week! 2015 and you are off to a great start! Thanks for sharing your tangle!
ReplyDeleteI really like Hitched (first time using it) even though I don't usually love diamonds. I have a hard time drawing them for some reason! And I really love what you did with this piece, for some reason it makes me think of a garden
ReplyDeleteGreat tile! and congrats on having your pattern spotlighted!
ReplyDeleteYour tangle is great, so versatile. I love how you've pulled out the diamonds and embellished your bejeweled tile!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile and great tangle. I like your half-Hitched version.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting your tangle chosen for UMT. Have seen lots of interesting variations. Nice job on your tile.
ReplyDeleteWonderful how you Hitched these altogether :) :) Very pretty!!
